At some of time, your Router may stop working completely or its performance gets degraded. This is an indication of a soft reset. Your device demands soft reset in such conditions which can be performed by unplugging it from the power supply.

To perform this operation manually, you need to turn off all the Wi-Fi from a different room. This burdensome task can be averted by using a smartphone with the router. If you have installed the Google Wi-Fi app in your phone, you can easily reset the router from it.
Install the app on your smartphone and search for ‘Advanced controls’ in the app. You will get this option in the last of ‘Settings’ page.
Open ‘Network and general’ tab from the top corner of the page. Select ‘Google Wi-Fi’ from the list of devices.
Click on the second option which says ‘Restart network’. When you click on it, you will find a prompt message on the screen. Click to confirm. Your device will remain offline for a few minutes.
In this manner, you can reset your Google Wi-Fi from a smartphone. Now coming to the steps to create and use the family label for Google Wi-Fi.
There are some professional tools available in the Google Wi-Fi router which can be used to manage the network. Among them, you will find the ‘Create label’ tool with the help of which you can create groups and play/pause any device.
Click on Google Wi-Fi app from the phone and move to ‘Settings’.
Go to ‘Family Wi-fi’ from where you will be directed to the little label. Read all the guided instructions and click ‘Next’. You can go to any family profile from the parent profile.
Enter the name of the profile you want to create and start adding devices in it. All the devices added in the profile can be controlled through the app. You can play/pause internet on any device from the app.
Once the profile gets created, you will find the list of devices along with the name under the ‘Family’ group. You can block or allow any device from the group as well.
In case you want to add more devices in the group or remove anyone from the existing profile, then go to upper top-corner of the screen. A detailed device list will be shown on the screen. To block any device, open ‘Drop-down’ menu and check available options.
